A New Zealand native evergreen tree. It's characterized by its dark green, glossy, oval leaves with toothed edges and clusters of fragrant, greenish-white flowers. These flowers are followed by bright orange, oval-shaped berries that are a favorite food source for the native wood pigeon. The tree is relatively small, typically reaching heights of 5-12 metres, and is found in coastal and lowland forests.
