A large, evergreen tree native to New Zealand. It's characterized by its distinctive buttressed trunk, glossy, dark green, toothed leaves, and small, greenish-white flowers. Pukatea is typically found in damp, sheltered lowland forests and can grow up to 40 meters tall, though it's more commonly seen at 6-10 meters in domestic gardens.
