A fast-growing and very hardy evergreen shrub or small tree. It can tolerate hot dry soils and cold temperatures. In spring a profusion of single, white flowers are produced, which are loved by bees. Manuka also has aromatic foliage. Mature height is variable, at between 2 and 5 metres tall.
