A perennial plant with large, rounded glossy leaves, with a purple-black top and burgundy underside . The flowers are orange-yellow and daisy-like.
Prefers full sun with some shade in mid-day, or dappled shade all day. Grows best in deep, fertile, moist soils. Tolerates light frost once established.
