A hardy and versatile evergreen shrub or small tree native to New Zealand. It has holly-like, grey-green leaves with serrated edges, giving it a distinctive appearance. The leaves are white-felted underneath, adding texture. In summer, it produces clusters of small, fragrant, daisy-like white flowers that attract pollinators. It can grow up to 6 metres tall. It is fast-growing and makes an excellent hedge or windbreak. Thrives in full sun but can tolerate partial shade.
