Also known as blue anise sage, this is a stunning perennial native to South America. It features vibrant cobalt blue flowers and aromatic, lance-shaped green leaves that emit a subtle anise scent when crushed. This plant typically grows to heights of 60–150 cm and spreads on rhizomes, forming large clumps. Salvia guaranitica blooms from mid-summer to autumn, attracting pollinators such as butterflies. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and fairly low-maintenance.
